HISTORY
Twenty Goranga Camps/Retreats
Every attempt we’ve made to host devotees at such a camp/retreat has been blessed and rewarded with a strong response from devotees in the region and a fantastic atmosphere. Devotees in these parts are eager for spiritual impressions, kirtan, and hearing about Krishna. The fellowship among us is always warm and sincere, and the spirit of serving the devotees is the foundation of the camp/retreat atmosphere.
We’ve held to one principle: that none of the organizers takes any profit, and at the same time, no devotee is turned away if money is an issue. In this way, we even cornered Krishna Himself - despite the math often predicting financial collapse, He always saved the situation and turned minuses into pluses.
A few thousand devotees have been our guests, and some of our special guests included: Sacinandana Swami as the spiritual initiator and organizer, Bhakti Tirtha Swami, Jayapataka Swami, Bhaktivaibhava Swami, Krishna Kshetra Swami, Bir Krishna Goswami, Prahladananda Swami, Kadamba Kanana Swami, Purnacandra Swami, Candramauli Swami, Dhanavir Goswami, Rohinisuta Prabhu, Ananda Tirtha Maharaja, Jay Gurudev Prabhu, Pankajanghri Prabhu, Urmila Mataji, Prapujaka Prabhu, Akrura Prabhu, Maddhucanda Prabhu, Mahendra Prabhu, and others.
The places where we held our camps/retreats were always located in national parks, secluded from visitors and tourists. The year 2024 was probably the last time at the legendary Letenka on Fruška Gora, and now we are returning to the Deliblato Sands, where we held the first “Goranga Camp” in 2002.
You can find a large number of lectures and recordings on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube. com/@gorangaserbiancamp892
From almost the very beginning, the irreplaceable support in organizing the camps has been late Govinda Hari Prabhu (Igor Spasov). His “Goranga TV Diaries” became our signature and the most visited event of every camp.
The current “Goranga Team” is a broad group, and the core organizers include: Madhva Muni and Kishori, Braja Mandala Prabhu (formerly Bahulashva), Nityananda Kari, Baddha-setu Prabhu, Bhaktigrantha Prabhu…
